The event took place at St Georges Hall and included a full day of networking, sharing best practices and hearing from keynote speakers.

The winners and runners-up were announced at the end of the event, and were presented with a glass trophy. Here are the 2022 winners:
Winner – Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust for their Advanced Clinical Practice (ACP) Governance framework – as it ensures the capability, quality, and safety of 78 paediatric advanced clinical practitioners and has the potential to be scaled up and transferred to other organisations.
Runner up – Cheshire and Merseyside AHP Faculty hosted by St Helens and Knowsley NHS Foundation Trust for their work in AHP workforce development across Cheshire and Merseyside including the Practice Educator toolkit.
Winner – Mid-Cheshire NHS foundation Trust – Respiratory Physiotherapy Team for their work throughout the pandemic and the delivery of new therapies including CPAP alongside the development of training and competency programme for physios, nursing and medical staff which resulted in positive patient outcomes.
Runner up – Jessica Thompson from Wirral Community Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust for all her work as an end of life lead practitioner and her syringe driver training to residential and nursing home staff which has reduced the number of incidents relating to syringe drivers and ensures patients receive their medication in a timely and responsive way.
Winner – Warrington and Halton Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for their Post-Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Team who have used an evidenced based approach to ensure green pathway elective patients were not cancelled on the main site by utilising the skills of critical care nurses to provide 1.5 care on the green site who were unable to work within critical care during the pandemic due to underlying health conditions.
Runner-Up – Louise Conway from Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust for her work as an Occupational Therapist in developing the multi-professional team to improve the services provided to 0-2 year olds which has delivered an excellent service and positive outcomes for children and their families.
Winner – Mid-Cheshire NHS foundation Trust – Midwives from the Diamond Team – for their work and continuity of care with known areas of deprivation and the BAME community and improving maternal and neonatal outcomes.
Runner – Up Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust – Childrens and Young Peoples Intensive Support Function for their work as part of the CAMHS team in reducing Tier 4 admissions by providing intensive support for the Autistic and Learning Disabilities population at risk of Tier 4 admission.
Winner – North West Ambulance Service – NWAS Mental Health Team – for their work on developing a suicide prevention toolkit and providing an excellent support system for staff challenged with multiple pressures across a large geographical area.
Runner-Up Mid-Cheshire NHS foundation Trust – Pastoral Support Team – for their work in enhancing wellbeing for staff across the organisation with mental health first aiders and also supporting international recruits and improving staff retention.
